The Grover Cleveland Days

Home Page

[If you were looking for information on Grover Cleveland the President, click here]

Congratulations! You've stumbled onto the Grover Cleveland Days web page. Grover Cleveland Days is a once a year festival but this page deals with much more than that. It's a page for the alumni of Alpha Chi Rho (Tau Phi chapter) as well as their friends. Here, you will find pictures of past Grover Cleveland Days events as well as Jazz Fest which happens in the spring. This year we were featured in "The Gambit", a local alternative magazine in New Orleans. This story ran in the May 16th, 2000 edition. Here's what they had to say:

Most Bizarre Bachelor Cult
Beneath a huge flag bearing a portrait of Grover Cleveland was a group of ex-fraternity brothers who went to college in New York, many of whom were wearing Grover Cleveland T-shirts, many of whom could recite a somewhat alarming barrage of facts about the 22nd/24th president. "He's the role model for bachelors," said group member Bob Bishop, who explained that even though James Buchanan was the one known as the "bachelor president," Cleveland was elected to office as a bachelor, was an illegitimate child, was the only president to have been re-elected to a non-consecutive term after one defeat, is on the $1,000 bill, and eventually married a much younger woman. "He's a deity, if you will," Bishop said. Hmmm.

Take a look at the links to pictures, sign our guest book, read some of my stories, and add another digit to our counter. You can do all of that and more in this one stop shop. If you're a regular visitor, you'll note that the page has been simplified a great deal. It's either because I care about you, or because I got sick of how messy the other page looked. Anyway, here are links to some categories of interest. Newest are the pictures from Jazz Fest 2000 in the 'pictures' category. Enjoy your stay!
